About Your Photographer |
I currently reside in the Knoxville, Iowa area. I enjoy hiking, traveling, astronomy, reading, storm chasing (my fav), computer systems, art, rollerblading, biking, camping, fishing, and geocaching with my girlfriend, Sheila. I've always loved photography, and nature and wildlife photography is my passion, as well as severe weather photography. My deep interest in photography started at a young age, and I started spending most of my free time doing photography at the age of 13. After working in many different fields I decided to make my love of photography my career. I graduated from the New York Institute of Photography in January 2005, in Professional Photography. To keep my skills up-to-date, I am continuing my education in advanced courses through NYIP. Some of my work has been published in local newspapers as well as aired on local television networks. My studio is currently located in Tracy, Iowa. I hope to acquire some land close to Knoxville in the somewhat near future so I can build a new studio that will be dedicated to my photography and will allow me to be able to offer more services to my clients. I strive to offer every client a unique end result with my work. I work hard to avoid the so called "cookie-cutter" results that some photographers are known for. I approach my work from an unusual mind set, working with each client individually to find out what THEY would like their photos to include/exclude and what kind of personality they would like to express. The old adage of 'the photographer knows best' is sadly abused by too many photographers and the end result is often far from desirable. I see myself as only there to produce the work in a professional manner. You tell me what you would like and I will guide you with my suggestions for things that will or wont work, and possibly offer some alternative ideas that may better achieve the result you're wanting. Together we can capture the memories that you would like to look back on and see. -Jeremiah |
